DOE Issues Record of Decision for Versatile Test Reactor Environmental Impact Statement

The US Department of Energy has decided to construct and operate a Versatile Test Reactor at the Idaho National Laboratory, with plans to establish co-located facilities for post-irradiation examination and spent fuel management, and will consider options for VTR driver fuel production at the Idaho or Savannah River Sites.
