SEC Adopts Amendments to Electronic Submission of Applications and Forms

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is adopting amendments to rules to convert the filing of certain applications and forms from paper to electronic submission. The changes will require the electronic submission of filings under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as well as Form ADV-NR through the Investment Adviser Registration Depository (IARD) system. The SEC aims to improve efficiency and reduce costs by leveraging its Electronic Data Gathering, Analysis, and Retrieval (EDGAR) system.
