SEC Proposes Updates to Shareholder Proposal Rule

The Securities and Exchange Commission is proposing changes to its shareholder proposal rule, which would allow companies to exclude proposals if they have already implemented the proposal's essential elements, and would also clarify when proposals are substantially duplicated or resubmitted.
