DoD Publishes Rule for Medical Malpractice Claims by Uniformed Services Members

The Department of Defense is finalizing a rule to implement the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2020, allowing members of the uniformed services to file claims for personal injury or death caused by DoD healthcare providers in certain military medical facilities, as a result of the lack of jurisdiction in federal courts.
