Great Lakes Pilotage Rates-2023 Annual Review and Revisions to Methodology

The US Coast Guard is proposing new base pilotage rates for the 2023 shipping season, which would result in a 14-percent increase in operating costs compared to the 2022 season. The Coast Guard is also accepting comments on its pilotage ratemaking methodology and suggestions for changes to the staffing model.
