FAA Adopts New Airworthiness Directive for CFM International LEAP-1A Engines

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain CFM International, S.A. (CFM) LEAP-1A model turbofan engines following reports of two in-flight shutdowns and cracks in the high-pressure turbine (HPT) rotor stage 1 blades, prompting the manufacturer to conduct an investigation.
