NMFS Closes Harpoon Category Fishery for Large Atlantic Bluefin Tuna

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has closed the Harpoon category fishery for large Atlantic bluefin tuna, effective immediately, due to concerns over overfishing, and will remain in place for the remainder of the 2022 fishing season, which ends on November 15, 2022.
