NMFS Receives Petition for Marine Mammal Taking Incidental to Empire Wind Project

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has received a petition from Empire Offshore Wind LLC, a partnership between Equinor and BP, to take small numbers of marine mammals during the construction and operation of the Empire Wind Project offshore New York, with a 5-year timeline starting in 2024.
