Privacy Act of 1974; System of Records - National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS)

The U.S. Department of Education has published a notice about a modified system of records called the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS), which is used to determine eligibility for Federal student financial assistance and track loan information.
