Federal Transit Administration Issues Safety Advisories for Rail Car Passenger Doors and Signal Systems

The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) has issued two safety advisories, SA 22-1 and SA 22-2, recommending that state agencies oversee rail transit operators to evaluate passenger door inspection and signal system safety procedures, and to incorporate these into their safety management processes.
