US Fish and Wildlife Service Announces 12-Month Finding on Petition to List Jemez Mountains Salamander as Endangered or Threatened
The US Fish and Wildlife Service has announced a 12-month finding on a petition to list the Jemez Mountains salamander as an endangered or threatened species, and to designate critical habitat under the Endangered Species Act of 1973. The species is currently precluded from being listed due to higher priority actions, but will be added to the candidate species list and a proposed rule will be developed to list it as a priority allows.
