University of Michigan Completes Inventory of Human Remains, Announces Transfer Process

The University of Michigan has completed an inventory of human remains and associated funerary objects, determining a cultural affiliation with present-day Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations. The university invites lineal descendants or representatives of unlisted tribes to submit a written request for transfer of control of the human remains and funerary objects.
