NMFS Grants Preliminary Approval for Exempted Fishing Permit Application

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has given a preliminary green light to an Exempted Fishing Permit (EFP) application, allowing commercial fishing vessels to temporarily bypass regulations in support of research, pending further review and public comment.
