Cost-of-Living Increase and Other Determinations for 2023

The Social Security Administration will implement an 8.7 percent cost-of-living increase in Social Security benefits, effective December 2022, and will also use the national average wage index for 2021, which stands at $60,575.07, to determine other program parameters.
