NCPDP Proposes Updates to HIPAA Retail Pharmacy Standards

The National Council for Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP) has proposed updates to the retail pharmacy standards for electronic transactions under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), expanding the applicability of the Medicaid pharmacy subrogation transaction to all health plans.
