FAA Adopts New Airworthiness Directive for BAE Systems BAe 146 Series Airplanes

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has adopted a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all BAE Systems (Operations) Limited Model BAe 146 series airplanes to address an unsafe condition related to the autopilot system. The directive requires modifying the autopilot engagement circuit to prevent the autopilot from not automatically disconnecting when a pilot applies a pitch input.
