EPA Releases Revised Risk Determination for N-Methylpyrrolidone (NMP) Under TSCA

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has released the final revision to the risk determination for n-methylpyrrolidone (NMP), a chemical substance under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), indicating that NMP poses an unreasonable risk to human health when used under its specified conditions. The revised risk assessment acknowledges that workers may not always wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in all workplaces, particularly those not covered by Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
