FMCSA Receives Applications for Exemptions to Hearing Requirement for Hard of Hearing and Deaf Drivers

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has announced the receipt of 15 applications for exemptions from the hearing requirement in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs) for individuals who are hard of hearing or deaf, allowing them to operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in interstate commerce.
