NRC Issues Draft Regulatory Guide for Qualification of Class 1E Battery Chargers and Inverters for Nuclear Facilities

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is seeking public comment on a draft regulatory guide outlining the qualification of safety-related battery chargers, inverters, and uninterruptible power supply systems for nuclear power plants and other facilities. The guide is based on the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) Standard 650-2017.
