Proposed Finding Against Federal Acknowledgment of the Tolowa Nation

The US Department of the Interior proposes to deny federal acknowledgment of the Tolowa Nation, a group from Fort Dick, California, citing failure to meet one of the seven mandatory criteria for a government-to-government relationship with the US. The Assistant Secretary for Indian Affairs will make this determination.
