U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Approves Renewal of Spent Fuel Storage Regulations for NAC-MPC System

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has confirmed the effective date of October 17, 2023, for a direct final rule that renews the initial certificate and Amendment Nos. 1 through 8 of Certificate of Compliance No. 1025 for the NAC Multi-Purpose Canister (NAC-MPC) System, a spent fuel storage cask, for 40 years.
