US Nuclear Regulatory Commission to Consider License Renewal for Dominion Energy's Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station

The US Nuclear Regulatory Commission is considering an application for a 20-year license renewal for Dominion Energy South Carolina, Inc.'s Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station, Unit No. 1, which would extend the station's operation beyond its current expiration date of August 6, 2042.
