Western Nuclear, Inc. to Transfer Split Rock Site to U.S. Department of Energy

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has announced the transfer of the Split Rock site to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the termination of Western Nuclear, Inc.'s (WNI) license for the site, following the DOE's designation as the long-term custodian of the site.
