U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Amends Regulations for Small Modular Reactors and New Technologies

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has updated its regulations to incorporate new emergency preparedness standards for small modular reactors and other emerging technologies, taking into account their distinct characteristics compared to traditional large light-water reactors.
