NRC Grants Exemption to Holtec for Reduced Insurance Coverage at Indian Point Nuclear Plant

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission has approved a request from Holtec Decommissioning International, LLC, to lower the minimum insurance coverage for onsite property damage at the Indian Point Energy Center from $1.06 billion to $50 million.
