FHFA Issues Final Rule on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Housing Goals for 2026-2028

The Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) has released a final rule outlining the housing goals for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (the Enterprises) for the years 2026 through 2028, replacing two previous area-based subgoals with a single low-income areas subgoal and simplifying the goal determination process.
