FCC Empowers Short-Range Radars in the 60 GHz Band

The Federal Communications Commission has revised its rules to allow unlicensed field disturbance sensor devices, such as short-range radars, to operate in the 60 GHz band, while ensuring coexistence with other unlicensed technologies, and paving the way for innovative safety applications like detecting unattended children in vehicles.
