FSIS Proposes Rule to Clarify U.S. Origin Claims on Regulated Products

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is proposing a rule to clarify the conditions under which meat, poultry, and egg products, as well as voluntarily-inspected products, may bear label claims indicating U.S. origin, aiming to resolve consumer confusion and improve transparency in the marketplace.
