Mendocino National Forest Withdraws Draft Environmental Impact Statement for Pine Mountain Late-Successional Reserve Habitat Protection and Enhancement Project

The Mendocino National Forest is withdrawing its draft environmental impact statement (DEIS) for the Pine Mountain Late-Successional Reserve Habitat Protection and Enhancement Project on the Upper Lake Ranger District due to significant changes in the landscape following the 2018 Ranch Fire. The withdrawal is a result of multiple delays caused by the 2019 government furlough, the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 August Complex wildfire, and a shift in forest priorities.
