US Department of Agriculture Authorizes Special Funding for Rural Broadband and Smart Utility Projects

The US Department of Agriculture's Rural Development (RD) agencies have finalized a rule allowing rural families and small businesses to use up to 10% of loan and grant funds for broadband infrastructure construction in underserved areas.
