USDA Proposes Exemptions for Genetic Engineering Exemptions for Certain Plants

The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) is proposing to exempt five new types of genetic modifications in plants from regulations on the movement of organisms modified or produced through genetic engineering, citing conventional breeding methods as alternatives.
