US Department of Agriculture Establishes Summer EBT Program for Rural Areas

The US Department of Agriculture has established a new program to provide summer meals for children in rural areas without congregate meal service, as mandated by the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2023, and also created a permanent Summer Electronic Benefits Transfer (Summer EBT) program to ensure continued access to food during the summer months.
