FAA Adopts New Airworthiness Directive for Airbus Helicopters Deutschland GmbH Model MBB-BK 117 D-2 Helicopters

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued a new airworthiness directive (AD) for Airbus Helicopters Deutschland GmbH (AHD) Model MBB-BK 117 D-2 helicopters to address a safety issue related to the installation of certain parts, including a rotor mast nut and main gearbox, which have a limited lifespan and were not properly documented in some delivery documents.
