Coast Guard Updates STCW Endorsement Guidelines for Vessels Powered by 750 kW/1,000 HP or More

The U.S. Coast Guard has released an updated version of NVIC 24-14, which relaxes training requirements for STCW endorsements as Electro-Technical Ratings on vessels with main propulsion machinery of 750 kW/1,000 HP or more, allowing mariners to qualify without specialized training in high voltage and computer systems.
