EPA Finalizes Exclusion for Hazardous Waste Management System

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has finalized technical amendments to an existing exclusion from the list of federal hazardous waste, addressing changes to the 200-Area Effluent Treatment System at the Hanford Federal Facility in Richland, Washington, to accept liquid effluents from vitrification of low-activity mixed wastes.
