Coastwise Endorsement Eligibility Determination for a Foreign-Built Vessel: AEGIS (Sail); Invitation for Public Comments

The Maritime Administration (MARAD), acting on behalf of the Secretary of Transportation, is seeking public comments on a request to determine the eligibility of a foreign-built vessel for a U.S. coastwise endorsement, which would allow it to carry up to 12 passengers for hire, and how this may impact U.S. vessel builders and businesses using U.S.-flag vessels.
