National Cancer Institute to Grant Exclusive Patent License to Gilead Sciences for HIV-1 Treatment and Cure

The National Cancer Institute, part of the National Institutes of Health, Department of Health and Human Services, is considering granting an exclusive patent license to Gilead Sciences, Inc. for the development of a bispecific T cell engager to treat and cure HIV-1.
