NMFS Establishes Regulation to Prohibit Swimming with and Approaching Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has established a regulation under the Marine Mammal Protection Act to prohibit swimming with and approaching Hawaiian spinner dolphins within 50 yards of them, in an effort to reduce disturbance and disruption of their behaviors in areas with high human-dolphin interactions.
