Cost-of-Living Increase and Other Determinations for 2022

The Social Security Administration will implement a 5.9 percent cost-of-living increase in Social Security benefits, effective December 2021, and will also consider the national average wage index for 2020, which stands at $55,628.60, in determining other program parameters.
