EPA Proposes Partial Approval and Disapproval of Ohio's Muskingum River SO2 Plan

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to partially approve and partially disapprove a revision to Ohio's State Implementation Plan (SIP) aimed at reducing sulfur dioxide emissions in the Muskingum River area, which failed to meet the 2010 national ambient air quality standard due to Globe Metallurgical's refusal to acquire a parcel of land within the nonattainment area.
