Caltrain Requests Approval for Positive Train Control Network Test

Caltrain has submitted a request to the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) to test its Crossing Optimization project on a section of track equipped with Positive Train Control (PTC) technology, with the goal of improving safety and efficiency on the Peninsula Corridor.
