McDonnell Douglas Corporation Model MD-11 and MD-11F Airplanes: Revised Airworthiness Directive

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is revising an earlier proposed airworthiness directive to add a general visual inspection for correct installation of self-adhering, high-temperature electrical insulation tape, as well as other corrective actions to detect and correct potential ignition sources inside fuel tanks, which could lead to a fuel tank fire or explosion.
