U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Approves TN-68 Dry Storage Cask System for 40-Year Renewal

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has confirmed the effective date of February 22, 2022, for a direct final rule that renews the initial certificate and Amendment No. 1 of Certificate of Compliance No. 1027 for an additional 40 years, following the amendment of the TN-68 Dry Storage Cask System listing in the List of approved spent fuel storage casks.
