NRC Considers 20-Year Renewal of License for Illinois Nuclear Facility

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is considering a 20-year renewal of a license for the possession, transfer, and storage of radioactive material at the Morris Operation ISFSI in Illinois, held by GE-Hitachi Nuclear Energy Americas, LLC, which would expire on May 31, 2042.
