Hitachi Cable America Inc. and Harley-Davidson Motor Company Seek NHTSA Decision on Noncompliance with Brake Hose Standard

Hitachi Cable America Inc., now known as Proterial Cable America, Inc., and Harley-Davidson Motor Company have filed petitions with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) seeking a decision that certain brake hose assemblies on Harley-Davidson motorcycles from 2008 to 2022 are inconsequential noncompliances with the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 106.
