Diamond Aircraft Industries GmbH Issues Airworthiness Directive for DA 40 and DA 40F Airplanes

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has adopted a new airworthiness directive requiring changes to the emergency open doors procedure and the passenger door retaining bracket for certain Diamond Aircraft Industries GmbH models DA 40 and DA 40F airplanes, following reports of the rear passenger door departing the airplane in flight.
