CPSC Proposes Ban on Aerosol Duster Products Containing Hazardous Propellants
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is proposing to ban aerosol duster products containing more than 18 mg of HFC-152a and/or HFC-134a due to the high risk of deaths and injuries from inhaling these propellants. The CPSC is seeking written comments on the proposed rule, which is based on data showing over 1,000 deaths and 21,700 treated injuries between 2012 and 2021.
