FMCSA Renews Exemptions for 17 Commercial Motor Vehicle Drivers with Vision Impairment

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has renewed exemptions for 17 individuals from the vision requirement in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, concluding that these exemptions will provide a level of safety equivalent to or greater than the current level maintained by the agency's Director of Medical Programs, who can be reached at (202) 366-4001 or [email protected].
