FAA Adopts New Airworthiness Directive for Pratt & Whitney PW4000 Series Engines

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued a new airworthiness directive requiring inspections of Pratt & Whitney PW4000 series engines to prevent potential engine failure and damage to aircraft, following 47 reports of cracked high-pressure compressor disks since 2007.
