USDA Amends National Organic Regulations to Allow Certain Substances

The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) has implemented recommendations from the National Organic Standards Board (NOSB) to allow the use of potassium hypochlorite in organic irrigation and fatty alcohols in organic tobacco production, while removing dairy cultures from the list.
